I’m managing losing the bet by heavy drinking and denial. From a business perspective, basically we’re absorbing the duties. Close to half of our items are either 15% duties or exempt so this helps somewhat. Our items are fairly price insensitive, so we’ve been fortunate and been able to increase prices to accomodate the cost increases from the duties.

I recently listened to this podcast from 2019. At the end, Dave and you made a playful bet on if the additional tariffs would change or be removed by the end of 2019. It has now been over 2-years since this episode went live and the 25% additional tariffs are still in place. Therefore, I am curious of how you guys are managing this situation. Are you still absorbing this additional cost or did you find a better way to manage it?
Sincerely,
Shane
P.S. Good episode :) Still helpful 2-years later
